Nandagang Wetland Ecotourism Zone


Nandagang Wetland is located in the northeast of Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, on the west bank of Bohai Bay, 90 km to Tianjin and 210 km to Beijing in the north, 40 km to Huanghua Port in the south, 50 km to Cangzhou in the west, and Bohai Sea in the east. It is at the geographical center of the two-hour holiday economic circle composed of Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang. This is an important ecological area in the eastern coastal area of China, which is well preserved in its original state. It is one of the 176 key protected wetlands in China, and is known as the "largest natural original ecological back garden in Beijing and Tianjin".

The core area of Nandagang Wetland covers 9800 hectares, maintaining a relatively primitive natural state and biodiversity. According to the research of relevant experts such as the Forestry Department of Hebei Province and the College of Resources and Environment of Hebei Normal University, there are 237 species of plants, 291 species of insects and 262 species of birds in the wetland, including 8 species of first class national protected birds such as red crowned cranes, white cranes, white storks and black storks, 39 species of second class national protected birds such as swans and gray cranes, 212 species of wild birds with important economic and scientific value, 27 species of freshwater fish, and a variety of plankton and algae, as well as foxes Dozens of terrestrial creatures, such as grass rabbits and snakes, breed here.

In 1996, Nandagang Wetland was included in the Hebei Action Plan of China's Agenda 21 for ecological protection.

In 2000, it was included in the list of national important wetlands.

In May 2002, the People's Government of Hebei Province approved the establishment of a provincial nature reserve.

In October 2005, China Wildlife Conservation Association awarded the title of "Home of Black winged Stinks".

In 2006, he joined the East Asia Australia Migratory Bird Protection Network.

In 2011, it was included in the overall planning of leisure resort base in coastal areas of Hebei Province, and became the first batch of "natural ecological tourism" scenic spots of science and technology tourism line in Hebei Province.

In 2012, it became a national science popularization education base.

In 2016, it was rated as AAA scenic spot.

1、 Wetland ecotourism area planning

In order to transform the advantages of wetland resources into economic advantages as soon as possible, we adhere to the concept of "scientific planning, key protection, rational development and comprehensive utilization", adhere to the principle of "low-carbon, environmental protection, ecology, harmony, livability, entertainment and tourism", and aim to expand and strengthen the tourism industry, stimulate the tourism real estate and promote the development of the three industries, Beijing Davos Summit Tourism Planning and Design Institute was invited to prepare the Overall Planning of Nandagang Wetland Ecotourism. The ecotourism area is planned to cover an area of 12656.7 hectares, with eight functional areas planned, namely: core reserve, wetland sightseeing area, Biguiyuan Phoenix Ecological City, southern cultural and entertainment area, water entertainment area, family leisure and entertainment area, ecological agricultural sightseeing area, and Evergrande Children's World Project area. At present, we focus on building four major sections: Country Garden Phoenix Ecological City, Evergrande Children's World Project, Wetland Sightseeing Area and Southern Cultural and Entertainment Area.

Core Reserve: It is located in the center of the planned area and covers an area of 4274 hectares (64000 mu). It focuses on the integrity of bird habitats and the original ecological wetland landscape, prevents human interference, and prohibits the construction of permanent tourism facilities.

Wetland sightseeing area: located in the west of the core reserve, covering an area of 1066 hectares (16000 mu), it is the main area for wetland ecological sightseeing activities. It has invested 120 million yuan to build a water sightseeing channel and land sightseeing road. Along the ecological sightseeing channel, there are two customer service centers and squares in the north and south, five cruise terminals, bird watching pavilion, Luhai Maze, Crane Plaza and other landscape nodes.

Country Garden Phoenix Ecological City: Country Garden Cultural Tourism Health Ecological Area Project is located in the north of the wetland, with a planned area of 10000 mu and a planned investment of 100 billion yuan. It is jointly invested by Country Garden Group and Zhongcheng Group to build a cultural tourism health ecological park integrating ecological experience, health care, beauty care, elderly care, traditional culture, education and training, hotel catering, leisure and entertainment, high-end living and other forms of business.

Evergrande Children's World Project: Located in the northeast of the wetland, Nandagang Evergrande Children's World Project is planned to cover an area of 10000 mu, with a planned investment of 100 billion yuan. It plans to build a large-scale children's theme park, tourist resort, conference and exhibition center, museum, theater, school, hospital, apartment, hotel and industrial supporting facilities. It is one of the seven domestic tourism projects launched by Evergrande Tourism Group.

Cultural and entertainment area: located in the southwest of the wetland, covering an area of 533.3 hectares (8000 mu), it will build a leisure tourism complex integrating "theme amusement park, folk culture, science fiction experience, tourism real estate, comprehensive services" and other functions, focusing on cultural and entertainment experience. It is planned to build a leisure tourism complex integrating high-end medical care, elderly care, health care, cultural entertainment, leisure vacation, ecological sightseeing A large health and folk town project integrating high-end residence. Construction content: mainly based on the Chinese health care methods from ancient to modern times, combined with a variety of Western characteristics of health care life, and integrated with regional characteristics of folk culture, to build a comprehensive health care tourism base that integrates recuperation, treatment, rehabilitation, health care, and leisure.

Water recreation area: located in the north of the wetland, covering an area of 78 hectares (0.12 mu), it is the main area for indoor and outdoor water leisure activities, and will build projects such as Yule Pavilion, Shallow Water Yule Ecological Park, Water Recreation Ground, Beach Leisure Camp, etc.

Family leisure and entertainment area: located in the southeast of the core reserve, covering 901 hectares (14000 mu), it is the main area for family leisure and vacation. It is planned to build tourism projects such as Bird's Nest, Happy Family Island and Qiuxianpu.

Ecological agriculture sightseeing area: It is distributed in the north, west and south of the planning area, covering an area of 3523.3 hectares (53000 mu). It will build four season vegetable greenhouses, ecological gardens, melon and fruit ecological gardens, leisure farms, colorful orchards, rice and fish ecological gardens and other tourism projects.

2、 Introduction to Scenic Spots

Nandagang Wetland covers a vast area with rich species and beautiful scenery. Spring is like a green blanket, summer is like green waves, autumn is like snow, and winter is like gold. An eight kilometer long water sightseeing channel and land road have been built in the scenic area. Along the channel, there are two customer service centers and squares in the north and south, five cruise ship docks, bird watching pavilion, the Reed Sea maze, the Crane Plaza and other scenic spots. At present, Qiandao Lake, ecological greening corridor, lotus pond and other projects are under construction.

Wetland Square: it is the most important tourist distribution center in the scenic area, mainly including tourist service center, ecological parking lot, central square and battery car parking lot. The North Square covers an area of about 40000 square meters, and the landmark building of the main square is a large bird's nest; The South Square covers an area of about 20000 square meters, and the landmark building is the flying geese.

Cruise Terminal: The scenic spot has purchased six cruise ships, seven speedboats (11 seats, 8 seats, 4 seats respectively), and seven battery cars. Five cruise ship wharves have been built, from north to south: North Wharf, Bird Watching Pavilion Wharf, Crane Plaza Wharf, Small Fishing Village Wharf and South Wharf. It provides tourists with a water friendly and near water entertainment space.

Bird watching pavilion: located in the middle of the wetland tourism route, it is also the commanding height of the wetland. It is composed of a bird watching platform and a bird watching pavilion, with a total height of 23 meters. Among them, the bird watching platform is 10 meters high, and the bird watching pavilion is 13 meters high, which is a double-layer building. Visitors can take a bird's-eye view of the wetland from a high place, or use professional equipment to clearly observe the activities of various rare birds in the wetland.

Luhai Labyrinth: It is located about 1000 meters east of the wharf of Fanghe Square, 200 meters long from east to west, 400 meters long from south to north, and covers an area of 120 mu. According to the concept of "mystery without confusion", its design is like "two dragons playing with pearls". Weidang Waterway and Plank Road are interdependent and in love. Tourists can play along the waterway by boat or walk on the Plank Road.

Crane releasing square: 300 meters east of Xiaoyu Village dock, covering an area of 150 mu. The western wooden platform is the viewing area, the central commanding point is the crane dance exhibition area, and the eastern part is the wild goose and crane breeding area. The three areas are separated by shoals. Tourists can watch the magnificent scene of cranes flying, and also can feed and take photos as souvenirs.

Dawa Folk Museum: It has collected more than 300 pieces of folk goods such as fishing tools, wild goose enclosure tools, textile tools, farming tools, and household appliances from the late Qing Dynasty to the 1960s and 1970s. The characteristics and conditions of Dawa people's production and life in history are reflected in the form of real objects. These tools and objects are the crystallization of the nation's thousands of years of survival wisdom. They look rough and simple, but they reflect the beauty of the people's survival civilization.

The great changes in the sea over 100000 years have created the vast scenery of the wetland; Thousands of years of history has created a mellow local customs and a long Dawa civilization. Since ancient times, many legends and stories have been handed down here, such as Xu Fu's eastward crossing, Lin Chong's hair match, the recluse of Zhang Zongyu, the leader of the Nien army, and Huang Hua, the anti Japanese hero, which have endowed the beautiful natural scenery of the wetland with profound cultural connotation. Nowadays, Nandagang Wetland is becoming a famous tourism and leisure base with its unique rich natural resources, profound historical and cultural heritage and attractive environmental charm.
